Late last week I received a request to cancel an order that was made 24 hours prior. Unfortunately, we had already shipped it. Wait a minute…unfortunately? I thought quick shipping was a good thing. Apparently to some, it is not. When I informed the customer I couldn’t cancel it because it was already en route to her, she became hostile, threatening a dispute with her credit card company. Whoa, wait a minute.
I informed her she could simply refuse the package, and when we received it back, she would get a full refund since she had called to cancel it within 48 hours of placing the order. (Of course, we would have to eat the shipping charges.) I didn’t hear back from her yet, so I’m waiting to either receive the package back or a letter from the credit card company.
Why must people assume the worst? We are very reasonable people…there’s no need to resort to threats. Read the rest of this entry »
We recently came across a not-so-new PaperIllusion VHS Video demonstrating how to use the Paper Illusions wallpaper. It’s available for sale now at Wallpaper Illusions. So if you’re still on the fence on whether or not you think you can hang the stuff, check this out.

I was just reading about the US postal rate increase and was asked how this affected us. Since we do most of our shipping via the USPS, it certainly has an impact on us. However, it’s not as bad as we first thought it might be.
Besides the fact that our local post office is “out of” 2nd ounce stamps, which for the life of me I can’t understand. This rate increase has been expected for several weeks…this is a small town, surely they didn’t “run out”. I don’t know where the problem lies, but nonetheless it’s a pain to have to use a 5 cent, 10 cent & 2 cent stamp instead of just one 17 cent stamp. Read the rest of this entry »
We’ve just posted the last of the decorative switch plates we have in stock at Wallpaper Trends. You may want to hop on over there and check them out. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. While we hope to be crafting them again, for now they’re being closed out of our inventory.
As of today you’ll find Bratz Girls, Disney Princesses (Cinderella, Belle, Aurora/Sleeping Beauty & Snow White), Classic Pooh & Piglet, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger & Eeyore, Disney/Pixar Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story), Tinkerbell (Peter Pan), Bambi & Thumper, Sesame Street’s Big Bird, Bert, Ernie & Elmo. Last month I announced there was a new blog in town, but guess what? It moved!
After much debate and consultation, I decided to use a different platform and host it on my own domain, as opposed to the one I was using before. This new platform offers a lot more features, and I think you’re going to like it.
So here’s the new address…paper-it-fun.com. Be sure to check it out and let me know what you think!
BTW, We are still using the paperitfun.com (no hyphens) for our discussion forum.

There’s a new blog in town, where the focus is on “Discovering all that can be done with PaperIllusion“. Introducing “Paper It Fun!” – the blog!
The idea came to me a few weeks ago, when I was trying to come up with an alternative to the discussion forum I started several years ago that was being eaten away with SPAM. I wanted to have a place where I could post projects and articles about this product in an easy-to-read (& write) format…and give people the opportunity to comment on them as well.
So, as of this afternoon, the blog is live and ready to share with fellow PaperIllusion enthusiasts. I tried to find a “fun” design, and this is what I came up with. I’m excited about the launch and hope to make a difference in spreading the word about this incredible product. So check out, Paper It Fun! – the Blog. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

After many, many months, the much awaited PaperIllusion Pearl & Cream Script Illusion is available again. Yahoo! And we have 40 boxes in stock at our facility right now.
We were concerned about the status of this color, since it was by far our most popular pattern and there was doubt as to if and when it would be made available again. But when the UPS guy showed up with our stock order today, we were pleasantly surprised, to say the least.
I don’t know how long this will be available, but for now it is and to celebrate we’re offering an additional 10% savings on our case pricing of this color only. That means if you order a quantity of 4 boxes, you will receive an additional savings on our already low price. This is for a limited time only…while supplies last. Individual boxes will no doubt be flying off the shelf, so if this is the color for you, grab yours today.
If you ran out before and have been waiting to get just a little more, mini-rolls in this color are also available for immediate delivery. And…we will be including this color in our sample packs again, effective immediately.
We have three new colors to share with you! FINALLY!
One is marketed as a “color for kids” but it will work well for the hunter/woodsman in your life as well…Hearthstone Camouflage!
The other two, Charcoal & Sunbaked, are a different faux finish effect, giving almost a stucco appearance. Be sure to check them out!
Individual Large Samples are available for $1.99 each with free shipping if one of those colors happens to strike your fancy and you want to check it out. Otherwise for a limited time only, you can purchase a sample pack of just the 3 colors as a set for a reduced price.
Also, I’m happy to announce the Script Burnished Gold is available again…yahoo! But the Script Pearl and Cream is still temporarily unavailable, I’m sorry. I’ll let you know if & when it becomes available again.
You may notice Roman Illusion Blue is temporarily unavailable as well. I am told it may be available by the end of April but there’s no guarantees. I’ll let you know how that goes.
Finally, you may have noticed our Paper It Fun! forum has been “locked”…sort of. You can still read what others have written but I have disabled the feature allowing comments to be added. That’s because we were being barraged with SPAM, and I was having difficulty managing it. I’m working on a solution to open the forum again and will let you know when that happens as well. Until then, feel free to contact me at this email address with any questions or comments and I’ll be sure to answer you and pass it on to our fellow PaperIllusion enthusiasts.
If you haven’t been to the forum recently, check out the most recent posts!
That’s it for now…don’t forget to check out the new colors…Enjoy!
